Blackhawk Farms: brake fade and the Aero6 question

Nice day out at Blackhawk Farms. I put my old bridge back in so I was running exactly how the car was tuned.

Blackhawk is a pretty brutal track for brakes and brakes are really holding me back right now. I think my ER1 pads were getting some pad fade. I think it’s time to move to a more aggressive pad. I might just swap over  to the Aero6 calipers over the winter so I’m not buying new pads for old calipers. I’m close to needing rotors and replacement rings are super expensive. My plan to run c6z rotors with the ultralights didn’t work. I know the aero6 can run them. So rotors I already own and $1500 calipers vs $600 for rings. I can get aero 6 for like $1000, but those are the painted ones and only the 17mm pad thickness. I guess the next decision is the pad I should use. pfc 11’s look good. I know spec corvette mostly uses the bp30s. 

I had a nice battle with a pair of 350z that looked like Gridlife Trackbattle cars.

My fastest lap of the day wasn’t a new PB, but I ran the exact time twice down to the 100ths. Predictive says optimal is in the 17’s. I’ll 100% get there with a few brake changes.
