You can read the thread about it in general here-https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/standalone-abs-installs-mk60-and-more/248099/page1/ Though TBH if I had to do it again I’d source my own module and get the happy cactus conversion box https://happycactusgarage.com/ Then this…
Kendall Frederick said: Nice dyno numbers! I’m still following your ABS install with interest. My ABS on my C6 decided it wants to not communicate and have CANbus errors; I’m still working through stuff to get it to the dyno but eventually I’m going to have to get into it. Not sure if I want…
I investigated the wiring and lines. It’s all hooked up correctly. We may be down to a bad hub sensor, sensor converter, or DSC ecu. Though someone posted something interesting on the facebook group that mentioned an intermittent lockup issue. They were having the battery voltage drop enough when the ABS pump went through the…
This just got posted in the facebook groups https://marketplace.sendcutsend.com/p/CW722771/corvette-c5-mk60e1-frame-rail-bracket It’s a really nice bracket for the c5 to mount a mk60 in the driver fender like I did. You’re much better off buying this than trying to forge your own like I did. Mostly posting this because everything in those groups gets lost.
I had an autox on the 5th. I did pretty well, 2nd class, 2nd RAW overall. I actually had the FTD, but coned it away. And that’s even with a ringer who doesn’t normally run with the club showing up. Something is still up with the ABS. It tested out fine in a straight line,…
Finished up chasing down the ABS codes today I installed the brake switch from above and it works perfectly. It’s also wired exactly like BMW originally did now instead of through a complicated mess. When I did the original setup I thought it was odd that INPA listed the brake as “on” when the pedal…
Ando said: Mk60 will still go into ice mode? That’s a little disappointing as constant oem abs ice mode engagement was a big part of the reason I sold my C5Z. My admittedly imperfect understanding of the C5 brake system is that it used the abs to electronically reduce rear brake line pressure as…
This weekend was the first day out at a track with all the new stuff- delrin bushings, swaybars f/r, p1 tires, mk60 abs, and probably a few things I’m forgetting. It was a super hot day at Autobahn CC with Revmatch. Probably 90 by early morning and pushing 100 by mid day. First session out…
My first event with the mk60 this weekend. Also brand new Vitour P1’s. The mk60 feels very smooth in comparison to the old oem ABS. I was easily able to use the brakes to help rotate the rear of the car around. The P1’s also ran great. Quick warmup. Similar feel to re71rs I think. …
Last night I got the wheels back on and got to test it for the first time. ABS seems fully functional and I didn’t manage to screw up the rest of the car. The braking feels a lot smoother under ABS than the stock system did. I used to really be able to feel the…
